What do we think when we hear the word, Peace? Is it a feeling that can be held, smelled, seen with the eye? Or is it a path that we believe in to be a hero just for our own interests? At this time of transition or change, we must be very careful not to corrupt Peace and not to use it for power and our own benefit. Burcu Eke-Schneider will give a talk at the Open House & Peace Forum on 21 March about how we can set up Peace Tables where we live. This idea will be implemented at the World Peace Conference on 21 September at the Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin and will serve as an example for future Peace initiatives.

Peace Table is built on the fundamental principles of human society—communication and collaboration. It is a space where the collective comes forward, not dominated by a single decision-maker or thinker, but driven by the power of collective decision-making and problem-solving. Through open dialogue and cooperation, deeper issues can be identified, and solutions can be reached that do not serve just one, but benefit all.

To experience that I am valuable and here now.

To get rid of all the prejudices, barriers, marginalization, exclusion, discrimination imposed on us or them.
